Find a partner to hit with. Who's playing and how many are going. Let others know you'll be there.

We've created several WhatsApp Group to help you connect with other fellow members to tee up a

hit or a game.  Avoid a trip to the club if the weather is iffy by asking if anyone can share their opinions

on whether the courts are dry to play.  ​

WhatsApp “Fancy a Game” Groups:

• Day Time Round Robin: A welcoming casual tennis group focused on fun, light competition, and good company. The group plays on Monday through Thursday.

The following groups are self-organized and are not meant to replace other organized activities and programming at the club.​​

• Starting Out: Perfect for those new to tennis or getting back into the game—focus on learning, rallies, and building confidence in a relaxed setting

• Intermediate: Ideal for players with some experience who can rally consistently and enjoy friendly, moderately paced matches

• Advanced: For experienced players seeking faster-paced, competitive, and engaging matches

Blackburn Tennis Club – WhatsApp Guidelines

A few quick reminders:

• Reply privately when your message isn’t relevant to the whole group

• Keep it tennis-related (matches, availability, club updates)

• Be respectful and positive at all times

• No promotions unrelated to the club

• Think before posting—is it useful to most people?

• Inappropriate posts will get you kicked off the group

• Be mindful of members not on WhatsApp and keep them informed and invite them to join
